Programme launched in 1968 by Sud Aviation and Nord Aviation, taken over by SNIAS in 1970.
The SN 600 prototype first flew on 16 July 1970; the first production aircraft, the SN 601, took to the air on 20 December 1972.
Forty aircraft were built, for business and light transport use.
