1970 – 1983
SNIAS, a national giant
On 1 January 1970, the merger creates the Société nationale industrielle aérospatiale.
1984 – 1998
Aérospatiale, the years of maturity
The company adopts the short name Aérospatiale and consolidates its major programmes.
1999 – 2000+
Aérospatiale-Matra, EADS and the heirs
Merger with Matra Hautes Technologies in 1999, then the creation of EADS in 2000.
